Actually, I didn't do that. The previous owner apparently broke the fender and his solution was to turn it around. I've since gotten another fender to replace it, but haven't had it painted yet.
It looks kind of silly like that, but served the purpose in the interim.
I'm tempted but not convinced. I think it looks slightly wrong with the black plastic mudguards. Colour co-ordinated or chrome ones would look much better IMHO.
But I have a cunning plan..........all I need is the tank & side panels off a black & gold V7
or the clip ons and single seat off the cafe onto a black v7 classic...
In any event it looks really good and I'd also go so far as to describe it as drop dead gorgeous
friend of mine has got the Classic - he'd ridden a LMIV for over a decade, then had an 1100 Griso, which he traded for the V7C.... he loves it! :woohoo:
Saw one at my dealer's today. Looks even better in person - that paint is gorgeous but difficult to catch on photo. I'd describe it as matte anodised yellowy green metalised or something like that. Makes it hard to tell what's plastic and what isn't.
I'd say they only should have done something a bit more creative and distinguishing with the cylinder heads.
I wonder when the "what's the brace thingy on the triple head" contest starts?
Great pics !
how many kms have you had on your V7 classic so far ?
Any problems ?
I have had mine for almost 20 days or so now and already have put 1300 km on her ( I have to work too !! )

at 7600Km one serious problem: a loud and scary, grinding sharp noise came from the clutch,
the whole clutch assembly was replaced under warranty (could drive a Norge for 3 days).
The "old clutch" is sent to Mandello to find out what went wrong.
