V100 Tech Talk

My 2018 Yamaha MT-10 has a loud clunk when selecting first. And it's not the slickest transmission on the planet going through the box. Every bike I have or have had has a different first gear engagement from neutral experience.

I have not (yet) purchased a V100. The reports of "clunky" first gear engagement don't concern me. Reports of oil leaks, coolant leaks etc... do.

I agree re the clunk Wallycycle. I've had three BMW boxers, all masters of the clunk.

FWIW, I now have a little over 30,000 mls on the V100 Mandello s (well, two V 100 Mandello s, a 2023 ans a 2024) without any issues. Not a peep. In fact, after the first one was destroyed I bought the exact same bike. I think is a great bike.
