Trips & Pics

Hi Guys, I'm here in NZ enjoying a nice warm spring morning . I ride a V9 Roamer, its my first Guzzi and I really like it. A good mid sized bike . I have roamed around quite a bit of NZ on it and I actually find it a very comfortable tourer. I spent some weeks of last summer cruising around the sth island with my daughter and all our camping gear. We had a great time and the V9 did everything expected of it. Now , I would appreciate some advice from you hardened guzzi owners . I would like in the hopefully not to distant future to ship my bike to Aus and ride all the way around. I have watched lots of UTube vlogs of guys doing just that but they all seem to be on big adventure bikes. Would I be expecting to much of my Guzzi to do the same. Cheers.

Not at all mate. You can get all the way around on tar. A lot of the things worth seeing in the Northern Territory, Queensland and WA will be on dirt roads though. "Back in the day" big adventure bikes didn't exist and it was mostly dirt so you'll have no problems.
What's the fuel range on the Roamer?. Some places might be a few hundred kms between fuel stops but a roll up fuel bladder will sort that out.
Cheers
Andrew

Cheers for the info. I'm looking forward to the trip.

The story behind this bike is quite amazing, lots of things remade, rebuilt, upgraded, modified etc.
I think from my cloudy memory he said it was originally a T3 but I'm happy to be corrected as I don't know much about old Guzzis, actually I don't know much about new Guzzis 😄.
