V100 Mods thread

I slapped on some very nice 3-way adjustable levers the other day with a slight mod to get it fit up (they are MSV4 levers). They're not as comfortable as the Brembo levers but do allow accurate adjustment of the freeplay, leverage ratio and reach. They are definitely a successful upgrade with the firmer lever-feel I was looking for.

Here’s my extras or mods if you like:

OEM panniers.
Inner soft bags for panniers
OEM center stand
Cylinder head protectors
Engine block protector
Front mud guard extension
Fork protectors, wheel axel
Hand guards (only cold season)
USB socket in front

And soon a well damped phone mount on handle bar center (will show picture soon, very important to prevent vibration damage on phones with optical stabilization).
And eventually a radiator protector.

How much of a rise did you give the bars (up/back)? Did you have any issues with cable and wire length?

Thanks,
Shaun

Looking for switched power for other mods - there is a 2 way SuperSeal connector under the seat, beside the red ODB2 port. On the V85TT there was a similar connector available for USB adaptor. But the one here seems different. 5V when on rather than 12V. Is this the heated seat connector, or something else entirely?

Correct - my heated seat plugs in there, but I have not checked the voltage.
There is a USB connected under the passenger seat already which I imagine comes from a switched 12V.

Some early mods:

Italian flag reflectors and a radiator guard that isn't Evotech

And a roll my own rear rack. My design, laser cut and folded by a local cut and bend shop. This rack is designed to fit the V85TT rear frame as well. It's got a Hepco and Becker "Lock-It" bag mount on it at the moment. On the V100 it uses Hepco and Becker arms
700013112 and 700013113 to attach to the bike:

Very nice design on the rear rack plate.
