• Ciao Guest, The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com lost his home completely on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone in this horrific disaster.

As no further post has happened regarding this, I can only assume that the “high $ Pro software” did not do the job as you had hoped for?

Key and dashboard Repair and Re-Key/Code

...off and back on again the bike will start and run. So I will have to just do the ‘on-off-on’ routine. The first ‘on’ will bring up the user code input for some reason, but I can just ignore that and switch off and on again to make the key work.I also sent a fresh Moto Guzzi key for Carmo...

    Premium or regular gasoline?

Good, informative information! I believe that the owner's manual recommends premium, or what would be the equivalent to 91 octane (95 RON) here in the USA. I asked Scotty Kilmer this same question and he said I should use premium.

Oh, you have pressed my “Super Nerd Scientist” button and I love stuff like this. 12+ years of biology, chemistry and biochemistry BS, MS, PhD studies did this to me.Hang on! 🤓 😆One of my friends is a retired chemical engineer who spent his career making fuels. What you all are...

    Hello from Croatia :)

...end there. Given that the motorcycle did not come with any service history, that I did not receive a spare key, that I do not know what the user code is on the board, that the bike has a retrofitted alarm/immobilizer, and I had a lot of questions. I decided to look for the previous owner.It...

Potential new Cali owner - help needed

I did read it, it's should be the same as it is on my Breva 850, but for Breva, I have both keys and I know the user code. Plus since I have both keys I can change the user code at any time if I forgot it. That's why I wrote that I'm a bit concerned regarding that part. P.S. The bike has an...

Potential new Cali owner - help needed

Read Scott’s threads about keys, user codes, and sending the dash to Carmo. Make sure you understand that process and take those costs into account in the final purchase price unless you can verify that you have the valid user code. You may be able to find user and service manuals in the...

...me through the procedure you used please? What mode ect. I know if you use a non transponder key it with work because it will ask for the user code, so are you sure your third key now works the same as the original key, ie doesn't ask for the code now? Also what page is it in the manual...

End of ‘23 grievance, to a better ‘24

Sorry, nope. The entitlement shift that social media has created, I fear, has become irreversible. I’ve inadvertently created a website here, that I personally pay dearly for, where instead of being commended and thanked (not you Scott), I get challenged and insulted daily. I originally had to...

...the manual carefully—the user can program 1 or 2 additional keys (dash will recognize up to 4 total) with at least 1 programmed key and the user code—I did it on my 2021 without dealer assistance. Since you can retrieve/reset the code with 2 valid keys, the user can also reset the code and...

    User code

Last year I bought a 2017 V9 Roamer. I’m just getting back into riding. My newest motorcycle up to now was a 1984 Honda Magna V30. I had no idea that buying a bike with one key would be a problem. I ordered a blank key, had it cut by a locksmith, took the V9 to a dealer to get a second key...

Read carefully—a dealer cannot assist if you don’t have the user code or at least 2 different keys already paired with the dash. Scott posted information about a company in The Netherlands that can resolve the issue for a price and the time to ship the dash unit.

Scott's How To Recover The 5 Digit Security Code. (CARC Dashboards)

HA! I tried the "last five digits of the VIN" trick as user code and it worked. Well, it looks like it worked, imma double check in a few. Looks like the dealer programmed it and never told the original owner.
