I didn't figure LED bulbs in the projectors was going to make much of a difference, I've been pleased with the amount of light they throw and I don't spend much time riding at night anyway. Was more thinking about the turn lights and the brake lights. but I'm better off getting a lighted plate...
I tried searching for any info on upgrading to LEDs, and I must not be using the right keywords.
I've found on the web some links to LED bulbs to replace the halogens with, but I'm much less fluent with what to replace the tail lights and side marker lights.
Anyone have a resource I can look...
Hmm. My Norge is the Metallic Black color, but I'm sure that only provides a marginal difference to tank contents temperature. I almost always have a tank bag sitting on it and I've noticed some kind of moisture under the bag around the fuel cap. Maybe I should look at putting some piping under...
I've experienced this after work since the bike sits in the full sun in the afternoon but last weekend when it was so warm here in the Midwest i went to start it up after sitting in the morning sun and it actually stalled out on me after trying to coax it into running.
I store it in the garage...
I'm wondering about the new pan that just arrived from Harper's.
I'll leave the pitting alone then. Was just concerned that it seems to have dust or something in it from sitting in the warehouse and felt like I should clean that out rather than just installing it and letting the oil and filter...
I'm about to do this same oil pan replacement on my 08 Norge... Quick question though, should, how do and with what should I clean out the new pan? it's a little dusty as I get a film on my finger when I wipe on the inside. and I see some pitting around the seal point of the pan itself that i...
Found my multi meter.
Got voltage on all the fuses.
However I pulled the tank and found this up infront of the left head... So ion going to see about cleaning that up. It's probably where my short is...
And just an update after getting a cab of QD electronic cleaner and blowing out that plug...
That clue on which of the dead accessories I'm experiencing are also on the same circuit is helpful. Thanks Bill.
When I replaced the previous battery I had used the battery lubricant and all the wires where still coated in that stuff with no obvious corrosion, but I only wiped that stuff off...
Well, the Battery failed a load test. But it's still doing the same thing with a new battery. I need to find my multimeter I guess.
looks like some this is going to be under the fuel tank, or easier to do while it's off?
I did cannibalize the circuit for the TomTom to power a USB charger in my dash and that isn't lighting up either. I have it home now so I'll be digging into it in the next couple days I guess.
I've never had it crank slowly, but I have had some issues with after riding it around on warm days it...
So I ride to work fine this morning. and i go to leave work this afternoon but even though the dash is all set for starting the bike it just won't engage the starter. nothing at all happens when I hit the start switch.
It is hot and muggy here in Michigan today and the bike is sitting in full...
I think this is the breather... that hose is wet at both ends and looks fairly impregnated and that seems to be where the oil gunk is most centered around rather than the phase sensor (which is only coincidently near by.
This looks like if I get a replacement hose that I can do this without...
Last fall I had a blowout of the valve cover gasket on the right hand side. Before that i was noticing a burning smell but didn't really notice how wet and greasy the left hand side of the engine was. went to change the oil today and the pan in the back by the plug is slimly.
i was noticing it...
Ah, see I have it connected to the battery right now so I should be good to go! I do use the Dual Gerbing control so I can set my gauntlets to a different temp that my jacket. I haven't ridden in cold enough weather that my fairing didn't protect my legs well enough yet.
A Harley rider I'm...
Next month I'm going to be making a trip from Michigan to Kansas City and I don't want to drain a battery on that trip.
Right now I have a lead off my battery that I plug in my heat controller into which isn't an issue for the short trips I usually do, but might pose a problem on this longer...
