2022 V7 LeMans 850i - building it -

The intake covers will not be put back... I have a plan... surprise surprise
Looking forward! I also have some ideas but don’t have the right tools for them…so I am just wrapping my head around.

….hmmmm, are you keeping the FI…right??

Tornado red VW
Thank you very much... there are a lot of drawings of design studies for Le Mans on this forum as well…
I just want the real one not a drawing

Brake line extension for the rear set
Brake master cylinder sits 26mm further back, bolted to the rear set bracket.

Well, I have a plan for mine as well, but since I'm busy atm I'll wait and see what's your plan to see whether my plan needs to be "improved"
Regards starter cover, I took mine off very shortly after getting my bike to make a carbon fiber one (surprise surprise LOL) but decided that I don't need it at all so mine is not covered either. Lots of bikes don't have one at all and they're fine...

My guess is both of us do the same just use different materials...😜
Easy guessing for both of us...

K, I'll spill my beans... All I want to do is cover intake's injector wires and fuel tubes. So I'm planning to make cover plates on top of intake following intake's lines. I really wanted to swap injector parts left to right for my injectors with fuel lines at the cylinders to be underneath intake Y tube . Just to visually empty up the space under the tank. But I think that 3 bolt pattern won't work, I'll double-check before making intake covers...

4629A2F2 278D 4129 9E7C 687327A3C06F I go for the full plastic delete!
Y pipe and cover (putting some thing there to look like there’s a pipe - what’s up with that) it is what it is and it has the shape to function but you don’t have to make it out of plastic corrugated BS!
I’m so over all that black plastic crap and paint...
What a dull bike for a fan of mechanical beauty... I catch myself touching the final drive on my bike just because it looks so good and it feels so nice..
I am seriously thinking about changing the original plan to make it as close as possible to the LM1
and do a 2 into 1 so the right side stays as it is...
I’m crazy and I know it..
Todd said it’s a crazy in a good way…
Maybe 🥴

Did you move the seat back to accommodate the new tank section of the seat?

I was in two minds when I replaced my starter cover whether to go black or polished. Wish I'd gone polished now. Easily sorted though.
No, I did not move the seat back!
There is enough cushion to take up the quarter inch I added.
The seat and the part I made are getting recovered.. I only narrow the seat to fit in the part… It probably can be made without going that step but I want both parts to be recovered with the same material

Mechanical... blasted ... not sand!

Drain the Oil 💯% ‼️

Talk to your local polisher… Make sure he tapes everything off so there’s nothing getting on the back side or in the hole and seals
Or contact Todd.. he is doing polished and powder coated valve cover exchange... I’m sure he can help with other parts as well!

Just saw a set of polished V7 covers at his shop.... looks so much better!!!

Do you know if the stripper would eat the seals?
That was my major concern!
Lots of duct tape keeps the blast material out...

They look way better than the blacked ones, but the V85TT are amazing. Make the cylinders look taller. By any chance do you remember the total price of both cylinder head covers and plug / covers?
