2022 V7 LeMans 850i - building it -

Headlight got moved forward AFTER this pic...
Note the original cutouts on the bottom
LM1 triple tree has the shape of a boomerang while the V7 has only little offset between fork tubes and steering stem and the fork is considerably wider

Did you get that fairing from Airtech?
I got one for my V7 III with Todd's help and wasn't too impressed with the quality. Then again I'm used to Todd's standards so I blame him lol.
Overall I had trim it down some like you did but ended up tossing it in the bin. I got other plans ATM but I'm currently trynna to save some funds to do so

Do you know if the stripper would eat the seals?
That was my major concern!
Lots of duct tape keeps the blast material out...
I dont think the stripper would attack rubber seals, the stripper I used was thick like navel jelly and you can brush it on right up to an edge that you dont want strip. Wait about 15 minutes and scrape with a plastic tool or brass brush. Rinse real good afterwards.

There is so much beauty hidden on the V7... I could not find any pic of a
V7 where this was done before...???
Regarding the rear foot pegs.. give me 1 week... and you’ll see... 😜

Hmmmm…now you really stirred up the wasp nest inside of me!

I hope not just inside you...
I’m sure the other creative minds out there who can make a beautiful eye candy out of it....

Talking about this, today I’ve eye-balled the starter motor and made a quick CAD design for a cover, now I am waiting for the part to be cut out of aluminum. Hopefully I didn’t messed the measurements and tomorrow night I can bend it and put it where it belongs. That area was anal eye-sore to me with that plastic bulge.

Very cool....
Looking forward to seeing it!!

I think I've used it in the past in one of my posts, but this time I'm talking about the computer one. Trying to be a DIYer makes you learn new stuff and hone the current skills...the downside is that your hair gets white pretty fast

It’s a plate welded on to the standard foot peg arm and a plate on the opposite side of the foot peg mount as well… original foot peg mounts cut off but left about 1 mm so the new aluminum foot peg can never turn . 8mm hole drilled.
And then everything nickel plated and the two short arms black powder coated...
Done ...
...like cooking an egg... 🤪
